The paintings of Tamás Náray are unique and inspiring. I deeply admire his work, though my own compositions follow a different direction.
During the creative process, unexpected and unusual situations can often arise.
One of my favorites is the Swedish band Gyllene Tider, which might be less known in Hungary than in Sweden – this alone might be surprising. Their song "Sommartider" was the inspiration for one of my favorite creations. During the day, I listened to the music, and in the evening, the mood conveyed by the song came to life in visual form on a wooden board.
I always give my works unique titles and within them stories or events to life. Without inspiration, I would certainly not be able to create, but I wouldn't consider that a crisis. Because I don't plan a time-tabled amount of the creative process, I've never felt compelled to create.
I don't sell my works, as for me the joy of creation and the stories behind them are the most important.
I rarely give them away, only on special occasions when I feel they are going to a truly deserving place.
Abstract works are a unique harmony of compositions, colors, and shapes.
In my opinion, it can be one of the strongest forms of self-expression. It creates a unique opportunity for both artists and viewers to explore their inner world and express their thoughts and feelings.
One of the key goals of Infinito Gallery is community building. For us, it’s not only about showcasing artworks but also about creating a space where artists can find inspiration and support one another. In the future, we plan to host regular exhibitions and community events. Visitors will have the chance to engage with contemporary modern art, interact with artists, and become active members of our artistic community.
Art is an infinite space that transcends boundaries. It bridges linguistic and cultural differences, opens new perspectives, and fosters creativity. It brings peace.
That’s an exciting question! I’ll answer by sharing thoughts on two of my favorite films.
The first is Click, in which Adam Sandler plays Michael Newman, an overly ambitious, career-driven workaholic. His life revolves around his job, neglecting his loved ones. Throughout the story, he receives a remote control that allows him to skip moments he finds unpleasant or insignificant. However, as events unfold, he gradually realizes that a fast-forwarded, simplified life does not bring the happiness he expected. The film’s most important message is that life is not just about work and career but about cherishing moments, love, and relationships.
This movie is a comedy wrapped around a powerful and profound message, in my opinion, one of Sandler’s best performances.
The second film, The Banshees of Inisherin, is a bittersweet story infused with dark humor.
It uniquely portrays the fragility of friendships and the consequences of failing to appreciate those who matter to us. The story is complex, with outstanding performances by Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Combined with its unique atmosphere, the film leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.
My response might have turned into a full-on movie recommendation, but I believe the real essence is between the lines. 😊
On my profile page you will find some of my selected works - I welcome you to view them. 😉
"The Capture of Helios" portrays the struggle between light and freedom against the constraints of the material world.
The sun god’s red orb glows behind a golden barrier, while the dynamic blue-green hues of the sky suggest movement and the possibility of escape.
Through bold contrasts, the composition conveys the tension between confinement and liberation, visually capturing the restrained power of Helios.
Susanoo's rage against Amaterasu's rice fields is one of the most iconic episodes in Japanese mythology.
This scene highlights not only the sibling rivalry but also the eternal conflict between order and chaos. Susanoo's destruction of the rice fields was a symbolic act, interpreted as a direct attack on Amaterasu, the sun goddess's power and fertility.
Parallel Worlds The painting's abstract geometric world creates a striking contrast: the mystical calm of a cool blue sky is complemented by the mysterious depth of a dark textured horizon.
Vibrant orange-red elements burst through the delicate arrangement of parallel lines with explosive energy, inviting the viewer on an emotionally charged mystery-laden journey.
This painting abstractly evokes Hatshepsut’s expedition, not by depicting specific ships, but by conveying the atmosphere and experience of the journey. The varied color palette—alternating warm and cool tones—creates a strong contrast, making the composition rich and engaging. The layering of acrylic paint and the diversity of textures add depth to the artwork, making it more than just a historical reference—it becomes a visual experience that engages both the senses and emotions. The painting invites the viewer to interpret the journey in their own way, beyond concrete forms and details.
"Constructed Chaos" is a visual imprint of the intersection between the urbanized world and raw emotions. The seemingly structured white grid lines form a framework, resembling the sketch of a modern architectural element, yet the swirling textures and colors behind them evoke a sense of disorder and instinctive energy. The black and gray background conveys an industrial, urban atmosphere, while the red and yellow tones add a sense of unrest and pulsating tension. The green and orange hues emerging in the lower part of the painting offer an organic contrast to the darker, more confined upper space. This artwork captures the eternal dialogue between order and chaos—the boundary where human construction and spontaneous instinct meet.
With Respect to Per Gessle
The painting employs strong visual contrasts and layered textures, evoking the essence of an abstract landscape. In the upper section, the blue sky conveys a sense of tranquility, while the geometric sun—a yellow square and a smaller red square—adds dynamism to the composition. The lower bands create a rustic, eroded effect, as if the passage of time has left its mark on the surface. Vibrant colors and raw brushwork generate a poetic tension between order and instinctive chaos, allowing the piece to simultaneously capture the power of nature and the purity of geometric abstraction.
"Magenta frustré" depicts a powerful visual clash. The composition is divided into two opposing sides— a textured left side dominated by deep, cool blues and greens, and a warm, golden-brown right side. A thin, vibrant magenta line sharply separates the two sections, symbolizing tension and the challenge of boundaries. The painting's surface is rich in texture, adding depth to the abstract forms and colors. The golden hue conveys stability, while the blue-green area represents emotional depth and the ebb and flow of the inner world. The magenta line, slicing through the canvas like a wound, embodies inner tension, frustration, yet also dynamism. This piece would be ideal for a space where a delicate balance between calm and tension is present—such as a modern living room or a gallery aiming to create meditative environments.
Nurarihyon is a Japanese mythical being often referred to as "the Lord of the Yokai."
In Japanese folklore, he is a mysterious yet commanding figure.
Nurarihyon's door is a mystical gateway that ensnares its victims with illusions and traps.
Once someone crosses the threshold, they find themselves in another world, greeted by a lavish feast and a serene environment. However, this is merely Nurarihyon's illusion – over time, the victim realizes they are trapped and unable to return to their own world. The door symbolizes curiosity and greed, which can prove fatal when encountering the supernatural realm.
"Summer Walk" is a dynamic and vibrant composition that captures the intensity and energy of summer experiences. The contrast of vivid blue, red, yellow, and white evokes a landscape shimmering in summer light. The textured surface and layered brushwork add movement to the piece, as if following the interplay of sunlight, shadows, and natural forms. The meeting of blue and red suggests dynamism, while the yellow accents convey the warmth of sunrays. The intricate details and layered paint create a sense of fragmented summer memories—impressions and snapshots overlapping like fleeting moments on a walk.
The artwork is both energetic and harmonious, leaving space for interpretation. Summer is not a specific place but a feeling—and "Summer Walk" evokes that feeling perfectly.
The layered composition of the painting evokes the imprints of time—past and present accumulating upon one another. The deep green band at the top symbolizes permanence and the eternal cycle of nature, while the golden streak represents the fleeting brilliance of passing moments. The white and black lines resemble traces of memories, fading marks left in space. The warm orange and earthy brown tones below convey the solidity of the ground, a surface that bears the weight of time’s passage. Time Horizon is not just an abstract landscape but an inner journey—a meeting point of past and present, where layers do not separate but connect.
Encoded Memories evokes the layering of time and the elusive nature of remembrance. The structure of the painting seems to preserve a trace of the past, a fading memory dissolving into time. The contrast between golden and darker tones reflects the duality of remembering and forgetting, while the textures reveal the fragmented imprints of the past. Its mysterious quality invites the viewer to find their own meaning through personal emotions and recollections.
